Embedded Systems & Firmware
We write software at the level where hardware and security meet — firmware for secure microcontrollers, smartcard operating systems, and the device-level code that runs our terminals and readers.
Firmware & microcontrollers
We have developed an ISO 7816-4 smart-card operating system with integrated command-sets for secure communications, e-purse functionality and key diversification, targeted at the Infineon series of secure microcontrollers and supporting up to 16K of EEPROM file-system memory. We can port the firmware to a micro-controller of your choice, with optional modifications to the command-set and features.
Device & terminal software
Our field applications — developed in C and available as Linux executables — run on low-cost handheld terminals with dual-slot smartcard readers and GPRS modems. They sign transactions cryptographically, store data locally, and perform delayed batch synchronisation when connectivity is restored.
Emulation & evaluation
An emulation of our command-set is available as an NXP JCOP card-applet for testing and evaluation. This lets integrators validate behaviour before committing to production silicon.
